A Heartfelt Testimony

All of us at Batavia Nursing Care Center are so humbled to receive a letter like this from a recent family. It touches our hearts to feel the true impact our care has on residents and families alike. We know that finding a long-term care facility can be difficult, and we thank you for entrusting us with your care.

"My wife had a stroke right on New Year’s Eve three years ago. We almost lost her. New Year’s Day was the absolute worst day of my life when the doctors told me she might not make it two days. It was a nightmare. I told them to do everything they could to save her. Prior to that, I lost my mom a year and a half ago from a heart attack. I told them I lost my mom and I can’t lose my wife too. With God’s love and mercy, he didn’t take CJ from us.

She’s been through a lot. A lot of different nursing homes as well. We finally found a nursing place for her. Not only is it much closer to our house, but they have a wonderful staff who cares and loves her. They got her off the vent for over a year now. We are truly grateful for that. We’re now waiting for them to cap her soon and eventually remove her trach.

We have a 10-year-old daughter named Bianca. She had a birthday last May. To my surprise, the staff gave her a surprise birthday party, and all the staff gave her gifts. It totally made her day and ours as well. You won’t be able to find a better nursing place than Batavia Nursing Care Center. Whenever we needed something, they always made sure we got it. They are very sincere and loving. From all the STNAs to the Nurses and Director of Nursing, Ginny, they are the most perfect staff ever. I’m there seven days a week because I have to, but because I also love my wife with every piece of my heart. Thank you, Batavia Nursing Care Center! Love you all so much!
