A Fall-Filled October at Batavia!
November 3, 2022
October was a busy month here at Batavia Nursing Care Center! Our Activities Department put together another month full of activities, games, crafts, events and more for our residents. We want to give a special shoutout to our Activities Department for always trying to think outside of the box with fun activities that they know our residents will enjoy.
We started the month with a tailgate party to celebrate the kickoff of the football season. We all enjoyed the game and some of our favorite appetizers. Next, we made a trip to the pumpkin patch, where we gathered pumpkins for carving and decorating at the facility. Everyone enjoyed having a hand in decorating the facility to look like fall inside and outside. After that, we continued our fall festivities by carving pumpkins and enjoying snacks. We love all of our Halloween and fall festivities but is it even October if you haven't watched a classic scary movie? Our residents gathered close in our dining room and grabbed a cozy blanket and a fresh bag of popcorn to watch a scary movie. This brought the spooky energy to a new level!

We went out with a bang this month with our Trick-or-Treat event. It was a smashing good time as the evening was filled with lots of little ones dressed in costumes, candy and comradery. We had to pull out all the stops, including our cotton candy and popcorn machine, that's always a big hit with our residents and families.
All and all, we had a wonderful fun-filled October and enjoyed spending this spooky month with all our residents, family and friends.
